Remote-Console

project project

Description

When I moved from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom it became a bit more difficult to assist family and friends when they had problems with their computers. I then decided to use Simple-Help as a remote desktop service.

Simple-Help is a easy to use service which is running on a public server. It provides on-demand access request (where the user can download a one-off application) or a constant service running on their machine (with permission) so can request direct access. That way I can provide support easily while they don't have to keep starting the on-demand client.

For my current employer we now also use it to provide remote support to customers where we have a management server running. Since it is an account based service I can control which servers our engineers can see an have access to. Also this makes it easier if people leave to close their account.
